Private Residence Caregiver, Companion, Cook and Driver

Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (40 hours/week)

$40/hour + mileage reimbursement for transportation,

errands, and grocery shopping

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and highly organized individual to support a disabled woman with a muscle disease in a private home setting. This role combines personal assistance, basic medical support, meal preparation, and transportation duties. The ideal candidate has prior experience in in-home elder care and/or as a medical assistant, and is comfortable providing hands-on support in a respectful and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care & Assistance

• Provide day-to-day support tailored to the client’s needs
• Assist with maintaining comfort, safety, and routine

Medical Support

• Assist with and monitor a weekly subcutaneous (sub-Q) infusion administered at home
• Apply prior medical assistant or caregiving experience to support overall well-being

Meal Planning & Preparation

• Plan weekly menus based on preferences and dietary needs
• Prepare lunch and dinner daily for both the client and spouse
• Handle kitchen clean-up and maintain a sanitary cooking environment

Household Support

• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Manage general laundry and bed making

Transportation & Errands

• Drive the client to appointments or outings as needed
• Handle grocery shopping and other errands
• Track mileage for reimbursement

Qualifications

• Experience in in-home elder care and/or as a medical assistant preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong cooking skills and ability to plan balanced meals
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Ability to multitask and manage a variety of household and care responsibilities
• Comfortable working in a private home environment
• Current COVID-19 and influenza (flu) vaccinations required

Additional Information

• This is a full-time, long-term position
• The role requires a high level of trust, discretion, and reliability
