Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description

In this role, you will be working in a metal recycling shop alongside two other laborers. You will handle both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, with a focus on sorting, logging, and processing various materials.

Responsibilities

• Use general computer skills to log information into the system when trucks are being weighed.
• Receive non-ferrous metals into the scaling shop.
• Sort through different materials and separate metals such as copper, aluminum, brass, and lead.
• Operate machines to compact products.
• Stack crates efficiently.
• Perform general shop upkeep duties to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience.
• Basic construction and production knowledge.
• Proficiency in machine operation.
• Computer operation skills.
• Ability to work on feet for the entirety of the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a scrap metal recycling center. The building is generally quiet, and while it is climate controlled in the winter, there is no air conditioning in the summer, which can make it warmer. The shift runs Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with a lunch break from 12 pm to 1 pm. Please note that receiving is closed from 11:30 am to 1 pm for the lunch period.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.47 - $24.47/hr.
