Job Description Job Description Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries (MPCM) is currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team on site to support the financial operations of the church. This part-time (approx. 16 hours a week) role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a heart for service, and experience in basic accounting practices. The position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the church's mission through responsible stewardship. Responsibilities: * Record and maintain accurate financial data for accounting records * Assist with payroll recordkeeping * Assist with annual financial reviews and audit preparation * Ensure compliance with internal controls and church policies * Check the accuracy of business transactions * Perform data entry and other administrative duties Qualifications: * Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields * Familiarity with accounting software (Quickbooks) * Ability to prioritize and multitask * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Strong organizational and time-management skills * Ability to protect confidential information with integrity * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications * Deadline and detail-oriented * Commitment to the values and mission of Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries Company Description For over 95 years, Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries (MPCM) ( has served as a resource for spiritual, physical, mental, and educational needs for Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and the surrounding municipalities.
