Pumpkin Patch is a family owned and operated small childcare center located in the heart of Cromwell. Teachers are responsible for the care, supervision and management of the classroom in accordance with the State of Connecticut Child Day Care Center Statutes and Regulations. Principal duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children, implementing a developmentally appropriate play-based curriculum, forming nurturing bonds with each child, fostering children's cognitive, physical, language, and social and emotional development. Teachers are expected to communicate professionally and positively with coworkers and families and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Salary starts at $16.94 and is based on education and experience.

Duties

• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Manage classroom using positive behavior management strategies
• Create emotionally responsive classroom environment
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of all children
• Adhere to all state regulations and statues
• Responsible for building nurturing relationships with children and their families
• Plan and implement curriculum and monitor each child's developmental progress
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture
• Demonstrate professionalism

Requirements

• High school diploma

Nice To Haves

Associates in ECE/related field or currently obtaining-preferred but not required
CDA or Head Teacher-preferred but not required.
