Job Title: Survey CAD Technician Job Description This role involves developing survey boundary, topographic, and control surveys, as well as construction stakeout using CAD/MicroStation platforms. The technician will receive field data and transform them into working drawings, existing conditions base sheets, and finished plats, working under the direction of a Project Surveyor. Responsibilities Develop boundary, topographic, and control surveys and construction stakeout for various types of projects. Complete survey computations and prepare boundary, subdivision, easement plats, and legal descriptions. Process topographic survey, control, and location survey information. Prepare, understand, and complete drawings in accordance with project specifications and industry survey standards. Create preliminary and final sketches of proposed drawings using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment. Modify drawings as directed by the project manager or project surveyor. Work closely with other surveyors and engineers to ensure a coordinated design. Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as necessary. Essential Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 2 years of experience in surveying. Experience in field surveying for at least 2 years. Skill in design, drafting, and use of Civil 3D and Carlson survey software. Knowledge of topography, topographic surveys, and land surveying. Additional Skills & Qualifications Interest in obtaining a professional license is preferred but not required. Work Environment The role involves a 50/50 mix of office to field work initially, transitioning to a 100% office role in Germantown. The Germantown office houses around 40 employees and is a beautiful new facility. Remote work is available for 1 day per week. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $35.00 – $45.00/hr.
