Senior Piping Designer (Remote) Midstream Oil & Gas | Company-Supplied Equipment Location Preference: Mid U.S. to Eastern U.S.
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire We are seeking a
Senior Piping Designer to support midstream oil & gas projects, focused on
existing assets and inside-the-fence facilities . This is a
100% remote role with company-provided equipment, offering true ownership of piping design deliverables from concept through
IFC .
What You'll Do - Own piping models through the full project lifecycle to IFC
- Develop and refine piping designs from incomplete or owner-supplied models
- Adapt designs to evolving scopes and client requirements
- Collaborate closely with ownership and technical leadership
Required Experience - 5+ years piping design experience in midstream oil & gas
- Strong experience with existing facilities (terminals, tank farms, pipeline stations)
- Advanced CADWorx and AutoCAD skills
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, changing project environments
Preferred Experience - Loading racks, ethanol blending, tank farm operations
- Emissions control equipment (flares, VRUs, VCUs)
- Pipeline equipment (valves, pumps, metering, launchers/receivers)
- Experience working with incomplete P&IDs or laser scan data
