Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops application software. Writing and implementing efficient code. Researches, designs, develops and implements software applications and systems. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates, designs and implements interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, cloud offering, system architecture, security and characteristics of overall system. Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs. Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications. Determining operational practicality. Documents testing, client experience and maintenance of system corrections. May partner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards. May develop and conduct unit tests.
  • The Software Developer will write tools to enable the analysis of radar sensor performance metrics and exploitation of signature data. Maintaining several bespoke software packages and optimizing work flows of radar processing with changes to these packages are also required.

Skills:

  • The candidate must have 3 years of experience using MATLAB;
  • Detailed knowledge of C, C++ programming 3 years
  • Experience with Software Design/Development 3 years
  • Software Documentation 3 years
  • Experience with revision control software such as GIT and GitLab 3 years
  • Experience with third party libraries (ie google protocol buffers)
  • Must possess excellent communication skills

Education/Experience:

  • Education: Seeking candidates with a BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or other STEM field with 3 years experience.
  • Level of Effort - This is a part time position (30 hours/week).
  • Work location: On-site — Candidate should expect to be onsite up to 5 days a week.
  • Travel: Potential for very occasional optional travel (domestic)
  • Clearance: Candidates must possess an active secret clearance to be considered for this position.
