$52 per hour
Job Summary
Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a high-acuity, Level II Trauma facility. The role involves caring for critically ill patients across multiple ICU specialties, including Medical, Surgical, Cardiac, and Neuro units. Candidates must be comfortable floating to Stepdown/PCU units as needed.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications (AHA required)
Experience with Epic EMR (no training provided)
Must be willing to float to Stepdown/PCU (ratio 1:3)
LA Fire Card required within 30 days of start
Experience with Pulmonary Artery (Swan Ganz) monitoring
Core Skills
Ventilator management and respiratory support (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC)
Cardiac drips and dysrhythmia interpretation
Central, arterial, and pulmonary artery line management
Stroke, trauma, and post-surgical critical care
ABG interpretation and emergency response
IV sedation, paralytics, and vasoactive drips
Additional Details
Level II Trauma Center
High-acuity environment (cardiac, neuro, trauma, sepsis)
No formal orientation - must be able to work independently
Floating required based on unit needs
Charting system: Epic
Required scrubs: Royal Blue
