Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers within the local market
  • Identify new sales and margin opportunities with the sales team
  • Prepare and present annual forecasts, budgets, and business plans

  • Manage teammate engagement, performance, compensation, hiring, and development
  • Ensure the team follows company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with Health and Safety policies and legislation
  • Oversee building, fleet, equipment, and general profit centre appearance
  • Make business decisions with ownership, accountability, and minimal supervision

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience with strong leadership and motivational ability
  • Experience in wholesale distribution, plumbing/HVAC, building materials, construction supply, industrial supply, or a similar business environment
  • Established experience in sales, business development, customer relationship management, and margin growth

  • Proven ability to lead, delegate, follow up, and hold teams accountable
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and business challenges
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to thrive in a performance-focused and results-oriented environment
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety standards
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle
  • University degree, college diploma, business management education, or equivalent experience

What Sets You Apart

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to run a business like your own
  • Strong sales mindset, not only an operational mindset
  • Ability to think strategically and understand how business decisions impact profitability
  • Experience managing large budgets, large teams, inventory, sales, margins, and operational performance
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and long-term career mindset
  • Curiosity, drive, learning agility, and self-motivation
  • Ability to create a plan, bring ideas, move the needle, and generate measurable business results
  • Experience as a Branch Manager, Profit Centre Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, Sales Manager, or similar role with full business ownership

Additional Information

This role offers strong career growth, training and development opportunities, comprehensive benefits, pension/RRSP contribution opportunities, profit-sharing potential, and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team environment.
