The lawn care and landscaping industry has a bit of a reputation problem. It’s often seen as unprofessional, unreliable, and full of unmet promises. Honestly, that’s a shame.
At Dempster Brothers, we’re out to change that. We believe your yard should make you proud, and your service experience should feel as smooth as ordering from Chick-Fil-A. Our mission is simple: to set a new standard for lawn care in Knoxville and beyond. With our use of technology, friendly and professional service, and a focus on curb appeal, we’re building a brand homeowners can trust.
We’re the highest-rated lawn care company in our area for a reason, and we’re just getting started. It feels great to have a job that is genuinely appreciated when done right.
Our mission is growing, and that’s where YOU come in!
So, where do you fit in?
Office Assistant
As our Office Assistant, you are the "engine" that keeps our daily operations running smoothly. While our field crews are transforming yards, you’re the organized, calm, and friendly pro behind the scenes ensuring every detail is handled. You aren't just pushing paper; you’re ensuring our clients and our team have exactly what they need to succeed.
Main Responsibilities:
Client Communication: Be the friendly first point of contact for emails and calls—answering questions and providing "Chick-Fil-A level" service.
Administrative Support: Manage our scheduling software to ensure routes are efficient and client accounts are up-to-date.
Team Coordination: Act as the bridge between our field crews and the office, helping solve logistical puzzles as they arise.
Documentation: Organize digital files, manage office supplies, and help streamline our internal processes.
Community Support: Assist with the logistics of our Clean Sweep and Helping Hands initiatives.
What You’ll Bring:
The "Optimizer" Mindset: You love finding a more efficient way to do things.
A Team Mentality: We don’t leave anyone behind, and you’re always ready to jump in.
Tech Savvy: High comfort level with Google Workspace and the ability to learn new CRM software quickly.
Attention to Detail: You’re the person who catches the small typo or the scheduling conflict before it becomes a problem.
Strong Communication: Professional, warm, and clear—both over the phone and in writing.
Emotional Intelligence: You can handle a busy morning with a smile and treat every client like family.
What We Offer You:
Supportive Culture: A fun work environment with the videos and proof to back it up.
Growth: Ongoing training and education to help you grow your professional skills.
Balance: No weekends and a winter slowdown to help you recharge.
Weekly Pay: Because waiting two weeks stinks.
Flexibility: We’re humans first—we’ll work with your schedule.
Schedule and Compensation:
Part- time, year-round position.
Hybrid: Work performed both remotely and at our office in Powell.
