Legal Billing Specialist

Position Overview

The Legal Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing the full billing cycle in a fast-paced legal environment. This individual will work closely with attorneys and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely invoicing while maintaining compliance with client guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process legal invoices in accordance with client and firm guidelines
• Manage full-cycle billing, including pre-billing, edits, and final invoice submission
• Partner with attorneys to review billing entries and ensure accuracy and completeness
• Track billable time, expenses, and adjustments
• Submit invoices through e-billing platforms and monitor status
• Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries
• Maintain billing records and ensure compliance with firm policies

Qualifications

• 2+ years of legal billing experience (law firm environment preferred)
• Strong understanding of legal billing processes and terminology
• Experience with e-billing platforms (e.g., LEDES, CounselLink, Serengeti, etc.) preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing systems
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
