Job Title: IT Operations Manager / Technical Service Delivery Manager

Location: Tallahassee FL

Employment Type: 12 Months Contract

EducationRequirement

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
    OR equivalent combination of training and experience.

ExperienceRequirement

  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience , including management of teams responsible for production support, service delivery, and technical operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational &Service Delivery Management

  • Lead and manage the delivery of IT services aligned with business needs and SLA expectations.
  • Ensure operational support coverage, responsible monitoring, incident resolution, and escalation handling.
  • Oversee deployment, configuration, lifecycle management, and retirement of IT assets including laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, printers, and telephony.
  • Manage service ticket queues; assign, track, document, and ensure timely and effective resolution.

Team Management& Leadership

  • Lead supervisors, project leads, and technical staff involved in support and service delivery.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, mentoring, and support staff development and training.
  • Support succession planning and skills development plans.

TechnologyIntegration & Deployment

  • Plan and manage introduction of new technologies into the FDOT environment.
  • Coordinate enterprise-wide rollouts, upgrades, patch management, and software deployments.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and applications teams for seamless implementation.

Compliance &Documentation

  • Implement and ensure adherence to operational standards, documentation, policies, and best practices.
  • Maintain documentation of incident resolutions, configuration details, and deployment procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and government regulatory requirements.

Technical Support

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across:
    • Hardware and endpoint devices
    • Network connectivity and telephony systems
    • Software and OS configuration
    • Remote technical support
  • Act as on-site support resource for technical escalations.

BusinessContinuity / Disaster Recovery

  • Provide input on disaster recovery strategies.
  • Participate in planning for business continuity through system resiliency controls.
