Job Description

As our interventional radiology RN, you'll provide expert nursing care and support for moderate sedation during interventional radiology procedures while also collaborating with other specialty areas, including assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and other procedural services throughout the hospital. Every day offers variety, teamwork, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

What You'll Do

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
• Administer and monitor patients receiving moderate (conscious) sedation.
• Prepare and recover patients before and after procedures.
• Perform IV starts and provide perioperative nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve the best patient outcomes.
• Float to other procedural areas as needed to provide sedation support.

Additional Job Description

What We're Looking For

Education

• Associate degree or diploma in nursing required
• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience

• Experience with: moderate (conscious) sedation patient prep and recovery IV insertion perioperative nursing care
• Interventional radiology experience is preferred but not required.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current registered nurse license in South Carolina or a compact state
• Basic life support (BLS) certification, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) with American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
