Aerotek is Hiring a Machine Operator‑in‑Training Start Your Manufacturing Career with Growth, Stability, and Strong Pay

We are hiring an Operator‑in‑Training to support production operations at a company that manufactures plastic sheets used in Plexiglass products for restaurants, schools, and businesses nationwide . This role is ideal for someone versatile who wants to learn machine operation, support production teams, and grow into higher‑level manufacturing roles.

Pay & Schedule

• $19.50 – $21.50 per hour
• 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 rotating schedule
  • 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on
  • Built‑in overtime and consistent days off

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Operator‑in‑Training, you will support multiple areas of the production line while learning machine operation and quality processes:

• Support end‑of‑line production activities, including palletizing and material handling
• Perform visual quality inspections on finished plastic sheets
• Identify basic sheet defects and report issues to leadership
• Communicate quality or process concerns to the shift leader or operations manager
• Follow all safety, process, and operational procedures

• Manufacturing, production, or machine operator experience preferred
• Strong understanding of safety practices and material handling
• Ability to follow procedures and complete tasks efficiently
• Willingness to learn, cross‑train, and grow into an operator role
• Dependable, adaptable, and team‑oriented work ethic

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Smithsville, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr.
