Automotive General Sales Manager (GSM) - Essential Duties

• Lead new- and used-vehicle sales operations by hiring, training, supervising managers, setting performance objectives, and providing ongoing feedback and sales training.
• Plan and manage departmental financial performance, including sales forecasts, gross profits, expenses, commissions, and productivity reporting in coordination with dealer leadership.
• Oversee vehicle inventory strategy, ordering, merchandising standards, demonstrator programs, and timely disposal of over-aged units.
• Drive sales growth through market analysis, advertising strategies, promotions, incentive approvals, and review of all deals and trade-in appraisals.
• Ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction by resolving complaints, auditing reconditioning and appraisals, and coordinating pre-delivery with service operations.
