We are a family-owned, independent craft brewing company deeply rooted in the Southern California beer community. Operating two distinct facilities—a regional 30bbl production brewery in Santa Clarita and a dynamic 10bbl pilot brewery and taproom in Palmdale —we balance large-scale, high-quality core brand distribution with small-batch, cutting-edge experimentation. Our team values hard work, creativity, absolute quality, and a collaborative, supportive family culture. We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Brewer to join our crew and work directly alongside our Head Brewer to keep both cellars running flawlessly. Position Summary The Assistant Brewer will support all daily operations of the brewhouse, cellar, and packaging lines across our production and pilot systems. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, a passion for cleanliness, and a desire to learn and grow within a professional brewing environment. While your primary station may shift based on production schedules, you will gain invaluable experience working on both a high-throughput 30bbl production line and an experimental 10bbl pilot system. Cellar Operations: Execute daily cellar tasks including gravity checks, yeast dumping, dry-hopping, carbonation, and monitoring fermentations under the direction of the Head Brewer. Sanitation & CIP: Perform rigorous cleaning and Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures on fermentation vessels, bright tanks, brewhouse vessels, hoses, and fittings. Maintain an spotless, safe working environment. Packaging Support: Assist with all packaging operations, including keg washing/filling, automated canning line operation, case-stacking, and palletizing for wholesale distribution. Brewhouse Assistance: Assist with wort production, grain handling, milling, mashing out, and spent grain removal. Quality & Documentation: Accurately log data (ph, gravities, temperatures) and maintain meticulous production records in our brewery management software. Facility Maintenance: Help maintain, clean, and troubleshoot brewery equipment, ensuring all tools are put away and the facility is audit-ready at all times. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience in a commercial brewery or cellar environment (formal brewing education or a strong passionate homebrewing background with industry references may be considered). A deep, fundamental understanding of brewery safety, chemical handling (CIP), and sanitation protocols. #J-18808-Ljbffr
