Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Columbkille Catholic School in Papillion, Nebraska, is seeking a faith-filled and dedicated 2nd Grade Teacher for the upcoming school year.

The second grade teacher plays a special role in preparing students to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. The ideal candidate will foster a positive classroom environment, support students academically and spiritually, and collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support student growth.

- Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with diocesan standards

- Create a structured, positive classroom environment that supports student learning and development

- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the daily life of the classroom

- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents

- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events

- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and school initiatives

- Maintain classroom organization, lesson plans, and assessment records

- Uphold school policies and support the mission of St. Columbkille Catholic School

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education (required)
Valid teaching license or ability to obtain one
Practicing Catholic
